#TOSHIBA UNIVERSAL PRINTER 2 TONER WINDOWS 10#
That or Windows 10 couldn't control itself like past versions (like v1803). Problem gone.Īs the printer was connect via 100Mbps, and the PC 1000Mbps, perhaps the printer couldn't handle the speed. Put everything back the way it was and change the printer to run on 1000Mbps. Hasn't been a problem before, but perhaps direct connecting made the problem PC auto-negotiate to 100Mbps. After further checking the printer at that point, it looks like the printer NIC is set to Auto100Mbps. Tested the printer by directly connecting a network cable between printer and problem PC. Perhaps speed? The fresh machine was tested, and working fine at another office just fine, so whats the difference? Well, the other office, the PC is connected via 10/100. SSID used on the WAP is set on same VLAN, connects to the same switch.so what else could it be. Gave that a shot and boom, problem machine is working on wifi, with hardwired disconnected. Poking more at it, I had a usb wifi adapter in my bag. Machine shows 1gig network connection, so speed looks good. Did a long term ping, under 1ms and no drops. Issue happens in different offices, so the drop/in-wall-wiring can be rules out. Printer is connected to the same VLAN, same switch, and had firmware up-to-date. Both machines had latest printer drivers, set to connect via a TCP/IP port to the printer.

Windows 10 machine, spooled slowly, then locked up, then erred out. Used the same document on both, using Adobe Reader to print. Swapped machines out so that had identical network cable, switch-port, and peripherals.

Had a Windows 7 machine and a Fresh Windows 10 machine (v1903, only Chrome and Adobe Reader installed).

If anyone has seen this issue before and has something to try that I have not done already, please let me know. I have checked with my reseller and they didn't know, and when I contact Toshiba support, they tell me to contact my reseller. I have had a couple machines (BYOD) encounter this issue, and some others work fine. The kicker is, we can print a couple pages fine, but say, something like 14 pages black and white, will stall in the queue and error out.

We print a lot of PDF files, and after v1903 update in Windows 10, the printer drivers that were working fine before, now lock up.
